The work
Research at Sacred Network
A living atlas is also a living research project. We document, classify, cross-reference, and invite contribution.
Scientific foundations
The phenomena described on this site connect to several areas of mainstream research:
- Geomagnetism. Earth's magnetic field varies measurably across location and time.
- Piezoelectric stone. Granite and quartz under pressure generate electric fields.
- Schumann resonances. Standing electromagnetic waves between Earth's surface and ionosphere.
- Heart-rate variability response. Documented effects of geomagnetic conditions on human physiology.
- Archaeoastronomy. Confirmed solar/lunar/stellar alignments at most major sites.
Active research areas
- Dragon-line classification. Confirming Rory Duff's nine-type taxonomy through independent dowsing surveys.
- Site cross-referencing. Matching ancient sites to modern energy-line maps.
- Harmony-window observations. Crowdsourced reports during solstices/equinoxes.
- Photographic documentation. Building a public-domain image library of all 336 sites.
- Country-level histories. Curated essays on each country's spiritual heritage.
How to help
Contributing to the research
Site reports
Visited a site and noted something specific? Post a check-in with notes and a photo. Pro members can do this from any site page.
Photography
We need original, public-domain or CC-licensed photography of every site. Get in touch via the contribute page.
Country histories
We need writers for the spiritual histories of each country page. If you have expertise on a particular tradition, please reach out.
